PRAYER AND FASTING PART 1

POSITIVE THOUGHTS, IDEAS, DECISIONS AND PARAYERS

For as he thinketh in his heart , so is he; Eat and drink saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee Proverbs. 23:7

The man who “Thought, had an idea or made a decision “ His way into fasting and prayer partnership and companionship with God is righteous man - Truly, “Positive Thoughts, ideas or decisions give life,” and are so powerful, especially when they are mixed in fasting and prayer with definiteness of purpose, faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence and a burning desire for their translation into faith, love, trust, obedience persistence, success, achievements, or spiritual growth. But negative thoughts, ideas or decisions are vanity and sinful, they should not find room in fasting and prayer.

One sound (positive) thought or idea or decision is all that one needs to be faithful, loving, trusting, obedient, persistent and achieve success in fasting and prayer. But negative thoughts or ideas, or decision carry an equivalent negative emotions which later sends negative stimuli to your subconscious mind. God see this –And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually Genesis 6:5

Before I go any further in my approach to the description of these parts and spiritual principles, In prayer and fasting I believe you are entitled to receive this important suggestion…

When you think of going into fasting and prayer partnership and companionship with Jesus Christ and then when faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success and achievements begin to come, they come so quickly, in such great abundance, that one wonders where they have been hiding during all those lean years,

Bring ye all the Tithes into the store-house, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:10

This is an astounding statement, and all the more, especially when I take into consideration the popular belief that any faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success, achievement in prayer and fasting come only to those who work hard and long in following the word of God with their own efforts.

When you begin to achieve your goals, you will observe the faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success and achievements begin with a state of mind of praise , fasting and prayer to the only almighty God, the creator of all things and the giver of life. The mind must reach high state of faith, love, trust, obedience persistence and acceptance in Jesus Christ with definiteness of purpose, with little or no hard work. You, and every other person, ought to be interested in knowing how to acquire that state of mind, which will attract great faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success, achievements and answered prayer

One of the main weaknesses of mankind is the average man’s familiarity with the word “impossible.” (The negative thought, idea or decision)- Impossible is a word to be found only in the vocabulary of unbelievers, unconverted, untrusting and fools. He knows all the rules, which will not work. He knows all the things, which cannot be done, He knows all the negative results, He knows all the bad things others will say, He accuses God to be unfaithful and a liar. But what he does not consider is that he that is faithful, loving, trusting, obedient, persistent in God can do all things with fasting and prayer, Who is this one?—Evil—Negativity--.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them; With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

These parts were written for those who seek the rules, which have made others faithful, loving, trusting, obedient, persistent or successful in fasting and prayer in their Christian life, and are willing to stake everything on those rules.

SEVEN RULES OF PRAYER AND SUCCESS

1. Put God first
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: ) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.; But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.; Take therefore no thought for the morrow for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:32-34

2. Pray and give thanks
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:17-20

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

3. Follow the book
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.; This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:7-9

4. Be honest
And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. 1 Thessalonians 4:10-12

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:17-21

5. Seek the goal
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

6. Never give up
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

7. Do all for Christ
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.. Philippians 1:20-21

Remember the above rules, to observe them, but, "only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee; turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest". Joshua 1:7

Faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success and answered prayers comes to those who become obedient, trusting, accepting, loving, faithful, success, fasting, praising and prayer conscious.

Failure in fasting and prayer and sin comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure and sin conscious and disobedient to God and man in the word of God.

But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:14-17, Because If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: Psalms 66:18

The object of these parts is to help all, who seek to learn the art of changing their minds, fasting and prayer from failure and sin conscious to faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success, praise, fasting and prayer consciousness.

Another weakness found in altogether too many people is the habit of measuring everything, and everyone, by their own fasting and prayer, praise, faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, impressions, success, achievements and beliefs. There is a way, which seemeth right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12. Some persons, who read this would believe that they could not be Faithful, loving, trusting, obedient, persistent, or succeed and have answered prayer because their thought, idea or decision habits have been steeped in poverty, want, misery, failure, sin and defeat.

Many refuse to believe that which they do not understand. They foolishly believe that their own limitations are the proper measure of limitations even for others. But we are all as an unclean thing and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6. Sure, the other fellow’s eyes are “off slant,” because they are not the same as theirs. Some ones face is hungry because it is not the same as theirs.

In closing on Thoughts, ideas or decision in fasting and prayer let me say to all who are looking for answered prayers, faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success and achievements with the Lord, that Jesus Christ is the only giver of faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, success, achievements and answers all faithful prayers

The brain become magnetized with the dominating thoughts, words, ideas or decisions which is held in the mind continuously and by means with which no man is familiar, these “magnets” attract the forces, the people, the faith, the love, the trust, the obedience, the persistence, the acceptance, the beliefs, the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of the dominating thoughts, ideas or decisions in the mind.
Is your mind magnetized with praises for God, fasting and prayer, faith and love, trust and obedience, persistence and acceptance, true believes in any circumstances?

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Amos 3:3

Before one can be successful, one must magnetize his minds with intense desire for faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence and success, that one must become “Faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence and success conscious” until the desire for faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence and success drives him to partnership and companionship with God, with Him one can create definite plans for faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence success and achievements.

Obstacles are those frightful things you imagine when you take your thoughts, ideas or decisions off from God and your Goals

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

PRAYER AND FASTING PART 2 A

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

(The Bible calls it the heart; your filing cabinet; the memory bank)

Proverbs 10:7 : The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

The connecting link between man and God

Now let me define the subconscious mind before we proceed further for better understanding of the later parts.

The subconscious mind (your filing cabinet; the memory bank) consists of a field of consciousness, in which every impulse of thought, idea or decision that reaches the conscious mind (your access to the world around you) through any of the five senses, is classified and recorded, and from which thought, ideas or decisions may be recalled or withdrawn as letters may be taken from a filing cabinet or memory bank.

God see this –And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually Genesis 6:5
Job 21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.

It receives and files sense impressions or thoughts, ideas or decisions, regardless of their nature. You may voluntarily plant in your subconscious mind any plan, thought, emotion or purpose which you desire to translate into its physical or spiritual or monetary equivalent. The subconscious mind acts first on the dominating desires, and thoughts, ideas or decisions, which have been mixed with emotional feeling, such as faith, love, sex or hate.

The subconscious mind works day and night, that is why we dream, dreams at night. Through a method of procedure unknown to man, the subconscious mind of faithful believer in God draws upon the forces of God for the power with which it voluntarily transmutes one’s desires and prayer into their physical equivalent, making use always of the most practical media by which this end may be accomplished, fasting and prayer

You cannot entirely control your subconscious mind, but you can voluntarily hand over to it any thoughts, ideas or decisions, plan, desire, or purpose, which you wish, transformed into concrete form or action.

Jesus Christ our Lord and redeemer, gave has the formula to voluntarily hand over positive thoughts, ideas or decisions, plan, desire, or purpose, to the subconscious mind, which you wish, transformed into concrete form or action. (Philippians 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

There is plenty of evidence to support the belief that the subconscious mind is the connecting link between the finite mind of man and the almighty God. It is the intermediary through which one may draw upon the powers of God at will in sincere prayer of faith. It, alone, contains the secret process by which mental impulses are modified and medium through which faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience, prayer may be transmitted to God through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the only one capable of answering prayer and the giver of faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience and success.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
1Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

The subconscious mind of man must connect with the mind of Jesus Christ with the same frequencies, this is to say, your motives must be those which are according to the word of God. Faith and truth must be found as dominating files in your subconscious mind, without this your prayers will be noise to the ears of God, because there are not of the same frequencies, instead they carry distortions.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

But remember this, the devil has no direct access to the subconscious mind. He uses the conscious mind to send impulses to the subconscious mind by means of autosuggestion, and by this means, he is able to impress on your subconscious mind a continuous dominating thought, idea or decision which later translates into its physical equivalent which will comprise character.
Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

HOW TO ENERGIZE YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND FOR CREATIVE EFFORT

The possibilities of creative effort and faithful prayer connected with the subconscious mind are stupendous and imponderable. They inspire one with awe.

James 5:15-16 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him .Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

After you have accepted as a reality, the existence of the subconscious mind, the heart as the Bible calls it, your filing cabinet, the memory bank and understand its possibilities as a medium for transmuting your desire and prayer into their physical, spiritual or achievement equivalent you will comprehend the full significance of the instructions given in the steps on desire and prayer. You will also understand why you have been repeatedly admonished to make your desires and prayers to the only true God clear and to reduce them to writing and to memory and when you pray, you should know, and not to imagine, or think and remember what you will and what you have said in words to the Almighty God through Jesus Christ our Lord, then you will also understand the necessity of persistence and pray to the almighty God of a particular problem, desire, issue or in carrying out instructions, and this will assure you of recognizing the answer from God.
Mathews 6:7-18 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

These fasting and prayer principle steps are the stimuli with which you acquire the ability to reach and to influence your subconscious mind with faith in order for God to respond and say your faith has healed you.
Mark 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Mathews 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Do not become discouraged, if you cannot do this upon the first attempt. Remember that the subconscious mind may be voluntarily directed only through habit, fasting and prayer, under the directions given in the steps on Faith. You have not yet had time to master Faith. Be faithful, loving, trusting, obedient, persistent, and patient.
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
1Thessalonians 5:11-24 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

A good many statements in the steps on Faith and Autosuggestion will be repeated here, for the benefit of your subconscious mind. Remember, your subconscious mind functions voluntarily, whether you made any effort to influence it or not. This naturally, suggests to you that thoughts, ideas or decision of fear and poverty, and all negative thoughts, ideas or decision serve as stimuli to your subconscious mind, unless you master these impulses and give it more desirable food upon which it may feed which is the word of God.

The subconscious mind will not remain idle! If you fail to plant positive desires and the word of God in your subconscious mind it will feed upon the thoughts, ideas or decision, which reach it as the result of your neglect. I have already explained that thought, idea or decision impulses, both negative and positive are reaching the subconscious mind continuously, from the fourteen sources, which are mentioned later in this step on the subconscious mind..

For the present, it is sufficient if you remember that you are living daily, in the midst of all manner of thought, idea or decision impulses, which are reaching your subconscious mind, without your knowledge. Some of these impulses are negative, some are positive. "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts". James 4:1-3

You are now engaged in trying to help shut off the flow of negative impulses, (Christian warfare with the devil) and to aid in voluntarily influencing your subconscious mind, through positive impulses of desire, faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience, and success.

When you achieve this, you will possess the key, which unlocks the door to your subconscious mind. Moreover, you will control that door so completely, that no undesirable thought, idea or decision might influence your subconscious mind any more. The key to answered prayer

Everything which man creates begins in the form of a thought, idea or decision impulse even fasting and prayer begins the same way. Man can create nothing, which he does not first conceive in thought, idea or decision. Through the aid of the imagination, thought, idea or decision impulses may be assembled into plans or prayer. The imagination, when under control, may be used for the creation of plans or prayer or purposes that lead to success in one’s chosen occupation or beliefs

All prayer, thought, idea or decision impulses intend for transmutation into their physical equivalent, voluntarily planted in the subconscious mind, must pass through the imagination, and be mixed with faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience and desire for success with the Lord in prayer and fasting. The mixing of faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience and desire for success with the Lord in prayer and fasting with a plan or purpose, intended for submission to subconscious mind, may be done only through the imagination.

From these statements, you will readily observe that voluntary use of the subconscious mind calls for coordination and application of all the steps to success with the Lord in prayer and fasting.

PRAYER AND FASTING PART 2B

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

(The Bible calls it the heart)

THE NUMBER SEVEN OF POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE EMOTIONS

The subconscious mind is more susceptible to influence by impulses of thought, idea or decision mixed with “feeling” or emotion, than by those originating solely in the reasoning portion of the mind. In fact, there is much evidence to support the theory that only emotionalized thoughts, ideas or decision have any action influence upon the subconscious mind. It is a well-known fact that emotion of feeling rules the majority of people. If it is true that the subconscious mind responds more quickly to, and is influenced more readily by thought, idea or decision impulses which are well mixed with emotion, it is essential to become familiar with the more important of the emotions. There are seven major positive emotions and seven major negative emotions. The negatives, which the devil is the master, voluntarily inject themselves into the thought, idea or decision impulses, which ensure passage into the subconscious mind. He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person. The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men. Proverbs 24:8-9

The positives, which Jesus Christ is the master, must be injected, through the principle of autosuggestion into the thought, idea or decision impulses, which an individual wishes to pass on to his subconscious mind. The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit. Proverbs 12:5

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

These emotions, or feeling impulses, may be likened to yeast in a loaf of bread, because they constitute the action element, which transforms thought, idea or decision impulses from the passive to the active state. Thus may one understand why thought, idea or decision impulses, which have been well mixed with emotion, are acted upon more readily than thought, idea or decision impulses originating in “cold reason”

Now when they heard, and this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Acts 2:37

Now you are preparing yourself to influence and control the “inner audience” of your subconscious mind, in order to hand over to it the desire for faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience and success with the Lord, which you wish transmuted into faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience and success in the Lord. It is essential, therefore, that you understand the method of approach to this “inner audience”. You must speak its language, or it will not heed your call. It understands best the language of emotion or feeling coupled with the Ten Commandments, faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience, and hope in Jesus Christ through prayer. Let me therefore describe here the seven major positive emotions, and the seven major negative emotions, so that you may draw upon the positives and avoid the negatives, when giving instructions to your subconscious mind especially in prayer. The devil uses the negatives.

THE SEVEN MAJOR POSITIVE EMOTIONS
The emotion of desire
The emotion of faith
The emotion of love
The emotion of sex
The emotion of enthusiasm
The emotion of romance
The emotion of hope

There are other positive emotions, but these are the seven most powerful, and the ones most commonly used in creative effort. Master these seven emotions (they can be mastered only by use), and the other positive emotions will be at your command when you need them. Remember in this connection, that you are studying steps, which are intended to help you develop a “success with the Lord, Jesus Christ consciousness” by filling your mind with positive emotions.

THE SEVEN MAJOR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS
(To be avoided)
The emotion of fear
The emotion of jealousy
The emotion of hatred
The emotion of revenge
The emotion of greed
The emotion of superstition
The emotion of anger

Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. Negative emotions are anti-Christ. One or the other must dominate. It is your responsibility to make sure that positive emotions constitute the dominating influence of your mind. Here the law of habit will come to your aid. Form the habit of applying and using the positive emotions! Eventually, they will dominate your mind so completely that the negative cannot enter it.

Only by following these instructions literally, and continuously in prayer, can you gain control over your subconscious mind. The presence of a single negative in your conscious mind is sufficient to destroy all chances of constructive aid from your subconscious mind.

Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways? 4:7 Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off? Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same. Job 4:6-8

CHARACTER BUILDING THROUGH AUTOSUGGESTION

I know, of course that all men have become what they are because of their continuous dominating thought, ideas or decision and desire. I know that every deeply seated desire has the effect of causing one to seek outward expression through which that desire may be transmuted into reality. I know that self-suggestion is a powerful factor in building character, that it is, in fact, the sole principle through which character is built.

THE SECRET OF EFFECTIVE PRAYER

Pray without ceasing; 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

When praying why are we required to close the eyes or go in a quiet room and close the door and pray to our God with honest sincere words from the bottom of our hearts? (Seat of our mind - sub-conscious mind)

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men,. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray; use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6:5-7

Many people by numbers, who believe in God, blame or stop trusting God because their prayers are, either not answered at all or not answered according to their expectations.

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7

If you are one of these people, join me in understanding the missing links in the prayers we offer and the answer we get ---not answered at all or not according to our expectations.

I wish to remind you that most of the time we seek answers from God, than seeking Him first. We have an attitude of; - give me what I want and I don't need you. This is called robbery

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7”14

Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a
delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work
wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Malachi 3:7-15

In our way to faith, love, trust, obedience, persistence, patience and success, God wants every one of us to call upon Him and seek Him first with all our hearts before we put our petitions to Him.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me,and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:11-14

It is known fact that when any message is sent to some one, there is always a carried of the message, whether it is through the post office, Email, courier, messager or yourself. If you use the right post office, Email, courier, messager or yourself your message will reach the person you want to receive that message.

Prayer will not reach God if a carrier for that prayer is missing, a carrier here is Faith, a carrier known by God, a carrier identified by God, a carrier, which can also carry answers from God for the prayer sent.

“And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” James 5:15

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 11:1-11

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:12

Seven secrets of answered prayer
When Moses prayed, the Red Sea parted. When Elijah prayed, fire came down from heaven. When Daniel prayed, and angel shut the mouths of ravenous lions. The Bible presents us with many exciting accounts of answered prayer. And the Bible recommends prayer as the way to tap into the mighty power of God. The Lord promises; "If ye shall ask any thing in my name I will do it. John 14:14

Yet some prayers seem to go unheeded. Why? Here are seven principles that will help you pray more effectively:

1. Keep close to the Lord.
"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7
When we make our relationship with God a priority and keep in touch with Him, we will be listening and looking for answers to our prayers that, otherwise, might go undetected.

2. Keep trusting God
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive Matthew 21:22
To believe, or have faith, means that we are really looking to God to supply our need. If you are troubled by a lack of faith remember that our Lord performed a miracle for the man who pled in desperation:
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe: help thou mine unbelief. Mark 9:24
Just concentrate on exercising the faith you do have; don't worry about the faith you don't have.

3. Surrender calmly to God's will
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us: 1 John 5:14

Remember that God wants to teach us, as well as give us things, through prayer. So sometimes He says, "No"; sometimes He turns us in another direction. Prayer is a means of getting more and more in touch with God's will. We need to be sensitive to God's responses and learn from them. Keeping track of specific requests and what happens as a result, is a great help.
The Holy Spirit will help you zero in on the right mark: The Holy Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God Romans 8:27
Remember that our will would always coincide with God's will if we could see as He does

4. Wait patiently on God
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. Psalms 40:1

The main point here is to keep your focus on God, keep your focus on His solution. And don't ask God for support in one minute and then try to drown your troubles in pleasure-seeking the next. Wait patiently on the Lord; we badly need that discipline.

5. Don't hang on to any sin.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Psalms 66:18
Known sin short-circuits the power of God in our lives; it separates us from God. Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2

You can't hang onto sin with one hand and reach out for divine help with the other. Sincere and total confession and repentance solves the problem.

If we are not willing to allow God to free us from evil (negative) thought, ideas or decision, words, and deeds, our prayers won't be effective.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3

God isn't going to answer "yes" to selfish prayers.

Keep your ears open to God's law, His will, and He will keep His ears open to your petitions.

If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable Proverbs 28:9

6. Feel the need of God
God responds to those who ask for His presence and His power in their lives.
Blessed are they, which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

7. Persist in prayer
The Lord, Jesus Christ illustrated the need to persist in our petitions by telling the story of a very persistent widow who kept coming to a judge with her request. At last the judge said in exasperation, "Because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice." Then the Lord concluded: "Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them. I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:5-8

Discuss all your needs, hopes and dreams with God. Ask for particular blessings, for help in time of need. Keep seeking, and keep listening, until you learn something from God's response.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 1:18-20

So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Luke 11.9

Prayer is a two way conversation. That's what the Lord promises;

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

If you are an observing person, you must have noticed that most people resort to prayer only after everything else has failed! Or else they pray by a ritual of meaningless words. And, because it is a fact that most people go to prayer with their minds filled with fear and doubt, which are the negative emotions the subconscious mind acts upon and passes on to God. Likewise, these are the emotions, which God receives, remember God does not act on negative emotions.

If you pray for a thing, but have fear and doubt as you pray, that you may not receive it, or that your prayer will not be acted upon by God, your prayer will have been in vain.

For verily I say ynto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that men think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8

Prayer does, sometimes, result in the realization of that for which one prays. If you have ever had the experience of receiving that for which you prayed, go back in your memory, and recall your actual state of mind, while you were praying, and you will know, for sure, that the theory here described is more than a theory.

The method - called prayer by which you may communicate with God is very similar to that through which the vibration of sound is communicated by radio. If you understand the working principle of radio, you of course, know that sound cannot be communicated until it has been changed into a rate of vibration, which the human ear cannot detect. The radio sending station picks up the sound of the human voice, and modifies it by stepping up the vibration (frequency) millions of times in a different form of energy called magnetic energy. Only in this way can the energy of sound be communicated through space. After this transformation has taken place, the magnetic energy, which originally was in the form of vibrations of sound is carried through the air by another energy called carrier wave to radio receivers, and these receiving sets recognizes the carrier wave, receives the carried magnetic energy and reconverts that energy to its original rate of vibration so it is recognized as sound.

The subconscious mind is the intermediary, which translates one’s prayers carried by faith, into terms which God can recognize, presents the message, and brings back the answer in the form of a definite plan, miracle or idea for procuring the object of the prayer. Understand this principle, and you will know why mere words read from a prayer book cannot, and will never serve as an agency of communication between the mind of man and God.

THERE ARE NO LIMITATIONS TO THE MIND EXCEPT THOSE WE ACKNOWLEDGE
